The Lady with the REV story by Aishah
My life was sedentary before joining REV. I hardly did any activities for the past 3-4 years. I would rather sit in front the television/computer or locked myself in the room than to carry out any outdoor activities or any physical activities. The only physical activities I did were during secondary and first year in university, due to compulsory curriculum. Thus, my size got bigger than before and I just ignored it, not until my family started to hint about my size. I could not stand the teasing so I started with swimming. The plan did not work because the classes and the attire were quiet expensive to me.
Then few weeks later, a friend talked about a gym she went recently. Whenever I heard “gym”, words like “expensive”, “waste money”, “treadmills”, “heavy exercise equipments” and “muscles” slipped out of my mind. Due to desperation, I started to ask her about the gym’s she went and she introduced REV to me. Surprisingly the fees were affordable compared to what I imagined and the workouts were rather weird for me to hear. The most part that attracted to me was the supervision from instructors in every class they conducted.
On my first day at REV I felt very awkward and shy, because I was the only Malay in the class. With the support of the instructors and members, I stayed on with the class but I did not complete the workout as I was completely out of breath. Right after the class ended, my whole body started to feel aches especially the legs. I remembered the pain of walking up and down the stairs, which lasted more than a week, but it did not stop me from attending another class. I began with once a week for a couple of months, then gradually increased to twice a week to 4 times a week. Now, I am addicted to it and I attend the class everyday.
Now, I become more energetic compared to before and I started to participate in sports such as netball and bowling events organized by my company. I put all these energy at home by helping out with more house chores. Other than become more energetic, I am becoming fitter than before. My family, relatives and colleagues say I am getting smaller. With such a great result, it makes me excited to continue going for the classes everyday. What’s make it even more excited is to workout together with other REV members to achieve our own targets.
My life is now more active and I am a happier person compared to before. I would recommend people who are sedentary to take one step forward by joining REV. You will feel different and you will not regret joining.
REV this way by Prem
If you are looking for the perfect gym, it would be REV. REV provides quick results that you are looking for while making your exercise program so much fun. The workouts incorporate strength training, cardio, endurance, and flexibility in a variety of ways so that it never becomes boring. I was never really a fan of exercise, especially high intensity training. But joining REV changed my view towards a healthy lifestyle.
The first few weeks of REV were agonizing. Workouts are different everyday and no workouts are easy. After every session, I would go home with aches all over my body, and I was always dead tired. But over a period of time, it all changed. I lost 5 kg in the first 4 weeks. It was great to see my weight dropping off the scale and it felt better when I was more and more active and less tired day by day. I personally felt i gained in strength, my endurance has improved to keep me going throughout the day, I hardly felt tired, i could easily take the stairs at work place without losing my breath, and my overall health performance improved.
I have attended REV for more than 4 months. I feel great! Energetic! Lively! I am so not quitting what I’ve started in REV and I believe REV will help me reach my goals. So, for you guys ‘O’ girls out there, why don’t you guys come over and use REV to get your adrenalin pumpin!
Peace!

Before joining Rev, for 5 years I was not involved in any form of sports or exercise as I did not find the need to lose weight, the gyms were rather expensive but more so I just got lazy and found no motivation to go to the gym over the years. About 4 months back, I was introduced to Rev by a friend and I thought why not just give it a try as it’s very affordable and it sounded very different from the normal exercise routines. After the very first class, I knew that this seriously was something I had never encountered before and the aches that followed were unimaginable.
However, the fact that the exercise was completely different to anything I have known and the motivation offered to complete the workout routine had me coming back for the next class 2 days later. A month later I could already start to feel changes as I was mentally alert, physically fitter and most of all I had a lot more energy in handling day to day tasks as compared to before Rev.
What makes Rev better than the rest is the fact that the exercise routines are never the same, there are always the trainers motivating you in every class and most importantly it’s the feeling of achievement at the end of the session when the workout has been completed and over the months as you see the changes you experience not just physically but mentally as well. I have been going to Rev diligently 3 times a week ever since I started and I have lost nothing but gained a whole lot more in terms of stamina, strength and endurance. The 3 things that make up Rev. I can’t imagine my life without it as I look forward to every class and I recommend it to those who are not only tired of all the standard exercise routines and diets but to those who simply want to keep fit. I can be sure that what you experience in Rev you would or will never experience anywhere else.

All my life i’ve been trying to lose weight. I’ve tried numerous ways from pills, exercise classes, wraps and even starving but they never last probably because i fell sick or they don’t seem to work.
Then i was introduced to REV by a relative. Never in my entire 20 over years of life had i ever enjoyed any form of exercises or sports. I find myself having breathing difficulties everytime i work out probably due to body weight and also due to my nose disorder.
On the 1st day i stepped into REV i was terrified and told myself ‘i can’t do this. This is too much for me. I can’t even manage a sit up’. True enough the 1st class was tough..but it was manageable as the instructors were always giving encouragement. I thought to myself ‘let’s give it a go. If everyone can do it i think i can’. The next day i went back to REV and took up 10 passes. The first week was a torment but it was very enjoyable. For once i felt that workouts can be very fun too.
I’ve been going to REV for the past 6 months; of course i lost weight (extremely happy because i lost it the right way. No more starvation and i get to eat yummy food) and the compliments i get because i look better (i also feel better). I feel healthier now and ever since i joined REV i have a new boost of confidence. I may not be slim or of my ideal weight for my height but inside me i know it’s not the numbers on the scales that matters.
Life has never been the same since i started REV. I have learnt not to give up easily and i look forward to every challenge (be it in work or in my daily workouts) as a new stepping stone to go a step further. This i owe to the instructors that were always there to guide, support and encourage. Not forgetting also the wonderful REV buddies that makes the workouts so much fun.
Life has never been the same since REV. Step up to the challenge and give it a try.

Never too late to REVolve by Jess Cheah
Gym and exercise was never my thing before REV. In fact I have not entered into a Gym in my life as I never like the idea of working out with machines (excuses…). My colleague who recommended REV told me; REV is different and of course, coupled with weight increase, age and additional health issues, I forced myself to take the first step. Initial experience was scary; needless to say, finding myself in the company of bulging biceps and beautiful young trainers and mostly much younger participants as well. When I saw the workout for the first time, I was thinking to myself – what am I getting myself into!!! Amazingly, with the loving care of the trainers I survived my first session and found out it’s not a ‘killing field’ after all!
It’s an amazing achievements 6 months later (by my standard of course), without really setting any goals, I lost at least 8 kg, able to advance from knee to full stretch push up (really proud of myself), and of course physically looking and feeling much fitter! Most amazingly, I fall in love with the workout especially with the Kettlebells. In fact, it feels like an addiction sometimes and I can’t seem to get enough of it.
When I first join REV, I was strongly discouraged by my sister reminding me that I am not young anymore, REV workout is too strenuous for older folks like us and I may end up not able to walk due to possible knee injuries. Well, I prove her wrong; it’s been almost 8 months and I am still walking straight. The interesting thing about REV regime is you are able to alternate any of the workouts and scale it according to your individual capability.
To sum it all up, REV gives me a ‘feel good factor’ – with good and interesting workout programs, the friendly and caring trainers and of course, not forgetting all the nice new young friends. REV is definitely not only for the 20s or 30s, but also for younger kids (my son who is 12 years old workout with me sometimes…) and folks like us in our 40s or 50s… You should try it and you will not regret it!

My REVelation by Han Hsiang
Like most people, my initial objective to join a fitness centre was to look good. It was all about improving physical appearance. Shallow? but true. However my perception changed about fitness centres after joining REV. Prior to joining REV, I have tried out other gyms. I was once a victim who fell for the “new year resolution member” syndrome. Embarrassingly, I lasted no more than half a year and ended up stuck with a contract with another 1 and half years to go. It was not until another 2 years later that I was introduced to REV by a friend in Aug 2010.
I was initially sceptical about REV. It didn’t have the equipments you would normally find in the conventional gyms. There weren’t any cool LCD TV’s displaying MTV. It looked more like a dance studio with colourful looking balls, known as kettlebells. However, at the end of the first class I was laughing no more at those colourful looking balls. Firstly, I was amazed at how the REV trainers got me to finish the workout. I could have never completed such workouts alone in other gyms. In addition to finishing the workout which I thought was impossible to complete, my muscles never felt so sore in such a long time. At that point, I realized my weekly runs in the park were not sufficient.
After the first month training in REV I just got hooked to it, I decided to sign up for the 3-mths programme. In this programme I was made to keep a food journal where the trainers kept a tab on my diet to ensure I eat right and healthily. Together with the trainers we set my personal goals and objectives which I had to achieve at the end of the 3 months. Needless to say, at the end of the 3 months, together with the REV trainers I achieved my goals. I lost 7kgs, I had more upper body strength and my weak knees were gone. I realized after a while, it wasn’t just about improving my physical appearance anymore, it was about improving my overall fitness level and strength. It took hard work and dedication which instilled discipline in me.
Nevertheless, I could not have achieved my goals without the dedicated REV trainers. In addition to that, I made many new friends along the way. We motivate each other and have friendly competitions during our work outs. The combination of a great work out programme and great people, produces such an incredible energy no other fitness centre could ever provide me.

Rev Up My Life by Vincent Goh
Before joining REV, I’m very active in sports especially futsal and football. I have always thought my health is in good condition as I exercise on a regular basis, but I was wrong. My annual medical check-up showed that my uric acid and cholesterol levels are above normal due to unhealthy diet and I had an aching knee. I was determined to improve my health status and then I came to know about REV in August 2010 via my wife’s cousin.
My first week in REV was a tough one as I experienced muscle aches after workouts. The trainers encouraged me with stretching exercises to ease the pain and to continue working out. Their enthusiasm and patience in guiding me through every workout allowed me to enjoy it more. I yearned for more results and soon participated in their specialized REV UP! Program. Prior to the program, my body weight was 64.9 Kilograms with a body fat percentage of 21.5%. With the help and guidance of REV trainers, I achieved a remarkable decline in my body fat by 5%, dropping from 21.5% to 16.5% in a month. My recent medical check-up showed that I’m uric arid free. Thanks to the REV team, which helped me understand what proper exercise and nutrition are like.
Now after 5 months of sweat and hard work, friends and relatives have been telling me that I look better and healthier. I’m very proud of myself as I have improved my health in such a short period of time.
REV is like a family to me now, Mondays to Fridays I enjoy working out.
And that’s why it REV up my life!
